Well I think it's quite accurate
In defense of Zeke , he is just stating facts . The comments below are people who seems to ' want'a crisis. The facts are that we are doing just about enough to keep temp below 2 degrees C . The big issue is coal in China and India , and the only viable solution that with have a large impact is switching from coal to gas and later to nuclear . Renewables are not clean because they require coal and gas backup or a huge increase in transmission. Capacity and won't grow fast enough to make a significant dent by 2030 .

The big uncertainty as Zeke points out is reported land use which is manipulated lower by many developing nations like Malaysia.

    • This article is VERY badly written and the headline is click bait.
The LUC metric is insignificant and based upon guestimates.
As 90%+ of CO2 emissions are from.fossil fuel, and the highest outputs= China and India, increased thier outputs by 5.5% and 4.4%, then it is impossible for the headline to be correct.

shame on you for using such a misleading headline.

A foolish headline and article. The trend is clearly upwards from 2010 to 2019. 2020 was obviously unrepresentative (as was 2009) and should be disregarded for assessing the trend. You have given the deniers something to work with.

If you follow the data back to before it fits your narrative you find out just how bad the climate lie is Nature need an amount of CO2 and we are dangerously close to the minimum. Climate loons can never mention the Miancovich cylce or the fact Dahlgren monoxide vsper is a far bigger player in the atmosphere than CO2.

Given all the caveats, your headline appears to be startlingly irresponsible, playing into the hands of those who claim the climate crisis is a fiction. Indeed, this article is already being used in that way.
